LAW is the force in society which keeps it united and balanced throughout the course of human existence. It has always been a prominent part of human society and is and will always be. Either one goes back to early centuries where kings had empires or in the age of democracy, law holds an important and omnipresent role.
In the times of crisis , its importance is coming to highlight that even when the whole world is shut down during the Covid – 19 , lawyers are still working end to end to serve the humanity. Judges of all kinds of courts are still passing judgements and are working in the best possible ways. Chief justices and judges are still being appointed in various courts all throughout the country. The fact is clarified by the presence of virtual courts in these times where every dispute or case is being resolved using video conferencing and hence forming the virtual courts. The first virtual court that came into existence was UP high courts and all district courts there. It is secure and confidential.
The key issue is not that crimes occur or still as we can see the upcoming cases of domestic violence in the lockdown time and rape cases heightened, there is really an importance for people to acknowledge law and abide by it. Although in the times prior the lockdown, many issues were resolved face to face and could be brought to light easily but here comes the real struggle when crimes and injustice is inflicted upon the victims within the walls of the house they live in and making the home just a house with walls.
When discussed with senior advocates and judges, they too concluded that nowadays law does not instill that fear of punishment in the wrong-doer and jail is no longer a horrible place for them to be in. But, this is changing as some strictness is being introduced in the terms of execution of such people.
Nevertheless, law is a weapon to protect the weak and provide justice. It is used for the rightful reasons with clear intentions to bring back the harmony and peace in society. The law makes sure there is no crime or wrong-doing.
Hence, I proudly say that if one acknowledges law , law will acknowledge you and this society is turned into a great and safe place to live in. There is still more one can add here but all I will say is : that’s it, folks!
